This 13 day intensive course is the basic Permaculture Design Course covering the principles & techniques of permaculture design. The course includes lectures, discussions, hands-on, slide shows, field trips & design projects.

Gregoire Lamoureux is a permaculture designer, consultant and teacher. He is one of the most experience permaculture teacher & consultant in Canada.
Gregoire Lamoureux holds a Permaculture Diploma in Education, Design, Site Development and Community Service from the Permaculture Institute USA.
Gregoire has been actively working with permaculture systems for over 25 years and teaching permaculture courses in many parts of the country since 1991. He taught the first Permaculture Design Course in French in Québec in 1995. He taught the Permaculture Design Course as a Summer Session at the University of Manitoba in 2005. He has been teaching the Permaculture Design Course in Ontario since 2001 and with Selkirk College in Nelson, BC since 2002.
Gregoire is also a founding member of Slocan River Streamkeepers Society. He is the Program Manager for the Slocan River Riparian Restoration Program, and is on both the Executive & the Steering Committee for the Slocan Wetland Assessment and Monitoring Project (SWAMP).
His work experience includes market gardening, greenhouse production, orcharding, ecological land restoration, small-scale nursery management, landscaping, aquaculture, forestry work & carpentry work.
Gregoire has studied ecological & green building and worked on straw-bale, cob house buildings & Mandala Homes (locally built round houses).

Shanoon is an environmental educator and founder of Huckleberry Adventures (since 1989), which is a program dedicated to instilling appreciation for the wonders found in the wilds of our backyards.
She is also an avid wildcrafter and loves to share her knowledge, passion and experience of the botanical treasures found from valley bottom to mountain top.
Shanoon has been involved with our Permaculture Design Courses in Winlaw since 2001 and everyone always enjoy going for a walk in the forest with Shanoon!
